Welcome in! A Byte of Python & Turtle is a one-day generative art workshop, and between you and me, it's one of my favourite days of the whole summer. You'll learn Python by making art with it: real code, real geometry, and a finished piece that's genuinely yours.
The day climbs a staircase. Shapes first, then loops, then functions, then randomness, then your own piece. Each step adds one idea, and each idea shows up on the canvas right away. By mid-afternoon your program will draw a different artwork every time it runs, and you'll pick a favourite to display at the gallery walk.
No coding experience needed. If you can type, you can draw.
One day, one language, one artwork. You'll learn Python by drawing with it: shapes first, then loops, then functions, then randomness — and by the afternoon your program will produce a different piece of art every time it runs. The day ends with a gallery walk of everyone's work.
